Kazakhstan held elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament and maslikhats

20-21 March 2016, elections were held of deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament and maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Under the provisions of the Constitution and the Constitutional Law "On elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan" Majilis consists of 107 members, 98 of whom are elected by proportional representation system based on party lists, 9 deputies - the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

Voting in elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament to be elected based on party lists, and the election of deputies of maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a total of 9,840 polling stations.

Of the 9,810,852 voters included in the lists, 7,566,150 people took part in the vote. In view of the voters who voted abroad, the final voter turnout in general was 77.12%.

In the elections took part 6 of 7 officially functioning of political parties. According to preliminary data of the CEC, for the party "Nur Otan" voted 82.20% of voters, Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan - 7.14% BF "Ak Zhol" party - 7.18%, the People's Democratic Patriotic Party "Aul" - 2, 01%, the National Social democratic party - 1.18%, the Political party "Birlik" - 0,29%.

Thus, in accordance with the law on the election of the party "Nur Otan" has received the mandate of 84 deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament, "Ak Zhol" party - 7 mandates and the Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan - 7 seats.
