Seminars, organized for enhancing legal culture of entrepreneurs

On 26-27rd of April 2016, regional seminars on the topic “Actual issues of enhancing legal culture of entrepreneurs" were organized by Independent institute for monitoring the formation of civil society in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Uzbekistan in all regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The purpose of seminars - increasing entrepreneurs' awareness of legal acts in the sphere of protection their rights and legitimate interests, clarifying the meaning of the measures in the further deepening of market reforms and liberalization of the economy, as well as identify and discuss obstacles to the organization and implementation of business and the development of appropriate recommendations for their elimination.

Organized events were attended by local businessmen, representatives of the justice department, regional departments for combating tax, currency crimes and legalization of criminal income, tax administrations, and territorial administrations of chamber of commerce, NGOs, as well as local print and electronic media.

Speakers emphasized that government has established a solid legal base of enterprise development to protect the rights and legitimate interests of entrepreneurs and private owners, a system of reliable guarantees for private property and the legal bases of small businesses, and formed a unique system to enforce relevant legislation and monitoring.

It was noted that in the process of democratic market reforms and liberalization of the economy in the country, sustained attention is given to the explanation of the essence and importance of the measures taken to establish the system, effective legal mechanism for doing business, as well as the expansion of the share of small business and private entrepreneurship.

During the regional workshops issues of increasing the activity of non-governmental organizations in supporting business entities, as well as some obstacles to the organization and implementation of business activity were discussed.

In general, proposals and appropriate recommendations were compiled on the basis of activities.
