On the results of seminars for members of the polling stations in Ferghana region
From 7 to 10 November were held training seminars dedicated to the efficient organization of Polling Stations Commissions (PSC), conducting elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ferghana region. The members of all 980 PST from 19 districts and cities of Fergana region participated at these trainings in order to improve their professional skills.

Pre-election process in Uzbekistan
14, 15th and 19th October, 2016   delegates of the congresses of political parties of country nominated their candidates to the post of the President of Uzbekistan. About 94 delegates from all regions of Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan and Tashkent attended them.

October 6 this year Branch for the Study of Public Opinion of the Independent Institute for monitoring the formation of civil society held expert assessment regarding NGO participation in the upcoming December 4th, 2016 presidential elections in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study was attended by representatives of NGOs and the city of Tashkent Branch staff. A total of 20 people.

In accordance with articles 96, 117 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Article 8 of the Law “On elections of the President of Uzbekistan”, Articles 5 and 9 of the Law “On the central election commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan” the decision on the appointing the election day of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on December 4 of this year was adopted.

On October 11, 2016 OSCE experts of the Needs Assessment Mission (NAM) headed by Alexander Shlyk, chief of the Elections Department at the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) arrived in Uzbekistan.

Elections-2016. The main principles of District Electoral Commissions
In 2014, according to the Act «On Amendments and Additions to certain articles of the Constitution of Republic of Uzbekistan (Articles 32, 78, 93, 98, 103 and 117)», dated April 16, 2014 the status of a constitutional body was given to the Central Election Commission, defined basic principles of its activity: independence, legality, collegiality, transparency and justice.

In Spain, held early parliamentary elections
On 26th June, 2016 was held a special election in the Cortes Generals (bicameral parliament) of Spain. Earlier, on May 3 of this year, Spain's King Felipe VI signed the decree to dissolve parliament and called new general elections. The charges stemmed from the inability of the parliament elected after the elections of 22nd December 2015, to agree on a candidate for prime minister.
